preventive care would reduce the number of visits to er rooms,by having everybody in the plan and being able to buy out of state plans,..this would reduce costs in the long run

Another important lesson is that once any new healthcare program gets created, it will never be repealed — no matter how bad it becomes. In a free-market economy, bad businesses go out of business; but government programs almost never go away.

My biggest worry is not even that government will ruin health care, but rather, that health care issues will ruin government. Health care is such a big, emotionally freighted activity that if the government tries to run it, health care issues will soon becomes its major concern. People will start voting for politicians based on their willingness to open the rationing of care a bit and will stop focusing on matters of interstate commerce, foreign policy and defense.

Leftist politicians and right wing politicians work collectively to herd the masses into two separate camps to fight against each other for the benefit of the politicians and to the detriment to the masses.

Leftists are intellectually bankrupt, and morally bankrupt. But no one should be surprised that their plans will bankrupt the federal revenues further. They’re aiming for control over an increasingly-dependent populous.

I know that. What I’m saying is Dan here should coordinate with Cato to do these videos, maybe ask them to let him put his videos on their youtube channel as well. I mean, Dan Mitchell is a fellow at the Cato Institute as well as Ctr. for Freedom and Prosperity, is he not? Combining their efforts into one would make them much stronger.

Compare Obama’s case for “reform”, and this guy’s case against it and it should be clear which one a sane, rational person should pick.

whoo689, It isn’t a Cato video. It’s a Center for Freedom and Prosperity video.

Obama is going to be like Lyndon Johnson and before him, like Franklin Roosevelt. This won’t bode well for us.

I don’t mean to rain on your parade, Dan, but wouldn’t this video be viewed by even more people if you did it through the Cato Institute and had it posted on THEIR youtube page rather than your own?
